At the Movies
Jeff Herberger, the director of a new two-hour documentary film about the history of big-league baseball in Washington, sent BallWonk a DVD of "The Game Comes Home," which alas does not yet have a distributor. (Hey, MASN, how about taking a break from your now full schedule of informercials, ESPN 8 feeds, and Baltimore talk-radio simulcasts to air locally produced feature-length documentaries about local sports? Sigh. BallWonk misses the classic rock format already, but 20 hours of random crap is probably the price we'll have to pay to see 4 hours of Nationals every night on Comcast.)
Anyway, everyone at the BallWonk National Committee offices took time out on Monday's off-day to view the movie. The official BallWonk David Manning blurb is:
Two giant foam fingers way up ... It's Charlie Brotman meets Ken Burns ... If you're a fan of baseball in Washington, you'll love this film ... A must-see!
Watch a preview on Youtube, and keep your fingers crossed that Herberger finds a distributor soon.

The documentary looks magnificant! I really hope it comes out soon!
