Hands Off Our [Name Here]!
Trader Jim famously -- and rightly -- called Officer Schneider "untouchable" when other GMs came sniffing in 2005. Now that he's got his job on a permanent basis, and now that he's even got Boswell at WaPo convinced that the Nationals are no worse than they'd otherwise be thanks to Trader Jim (Boz, have you forgotten that we're still paying Six-Three $26,000 per game?), the next few weeks will probably see our GM dealing like a junkie on payday. And president-elect Stan W. Kasten will back Trader Jim's play, on the theory that we need minor league prospects who might win games in 2009 more than we need proven performers who can win games in 2006. (He's got a point, actually.)
So which of our highest profile trade bait would be untouchable if you ran the Nationals? (You can vote for more than one.)
